The other day I was looking through some old pics, trying to put them into albums (which is a loong and painful task) but I got some new enthusiasm thinking about the photo project - "My Parent's were awesome" I mentioned the other day.
My suspicions were right, there are hardly any pictures of my parents alone together. Pre children... there are just wedding pictures really, maybe I will post a couple of my favourite individual pics of them at a later date. (Pre me of course)
But I'm gutted/amazed looking back through old photo's because my mum was such a whizz with a machine - In those days when disposable nappies were non existent and super cheap primarny and supermarket clothing were a laughable dream - she cut just make clothes with or without patterns.
I can't really sew yet! O.K that is an understatement I am rubbish with my machine, but look at these pics of some of my mum's handmade lovelies.
Unfortunately my mum stopped sewing way before I was born - Which is why most of these pictures are of outfits she'd made for my eldest brother. Check out that gorgeous leather jacket she put together (below)- I can't get over that one!
I hope I didn't miss out on this crafty/sewing gene, I think it has been lying dormant for twenty years or so.
