It's Springtime!

Finally it's looking like it's springtime and I have already been out gardening - check me out!
I am not normally a big gardener - yea I watered my mum and dad's gardens and attempted to tend to a few strawberry plants we have had but I don't really know what I am doing. What I do know is that I love seeing beautiful gardens in the summers so I thought what the hell I might as well give it a try and I am quite excited about growing my own flowers and some fruit and veg this year.

This week I have been out in my front garden planting tulips and Daffs - Yes I know this is the wrong time to plant them (it should be autumn before the frost) but I had the bulbs and I didn't want them to go mouldy. I replanted the Daffodils that I had growing indoors through the winter - I am quite impressed at how they've have grown so far and I can't wait to see them when they flower or blossom - I don't even know the gardening lingo. My dad has also given me a plot in his allottment :-) I'm not too sure about the lil frogs jumping around back there but I have brought some lovely new gardening gloves and I am planting a few sunflowers in my patch today and some Dahlia's in pots too. :-)

Can you believe I started to google images of tulips and floral displays on the internet when I had all these flower pics that I have took on my hard drive! I really like botanical gardens - I used to visit them on crisp days in NY when I wanted to be outside or just sit somewhere a lil calm, I planned my dream wedding in Brooklyn Botanical gardens so I have tonnes of photo's of them duh!
I have lots of pics of cherry blossom too - I would love, love, love to have a cherry blossom or Magnolia tree at the bottom of my garden one day. That is much more realistic than my Botanical garden's wedding thing - might need a man first :-/
