The years not any different my new years resolutions is to loose weight but I actually have to do this time- I lost a few pounds at the end of last year... Christmas and New Year did some serious damage but I have to get on with it now. Santa got me a Wii Fit board for christmas so hopefully that will help me lots but I will need a few exercise vids to keep me going and to help change it up a bit... Below are the exercise games and DVD's I hope will take me into a healthier, slimmer 2010!

As I said before I just got a Wii Fit balance board and this game...I borrowed it first to see if I would like it and I really loved it... I felt like I was working out and having fun and I am soo impressed that Wii fit plus version allows you to put exercises together and has more games. Now I just need to wake up and get on with the exercise!
This will be my staple exercise DVD/Game for the duration of the winter.... I will let you know how it goes...

Heart Hulaerobics uses a hula hoop for exercise (if the name didn't give it away) and is supposed to be really fun. My friend Lindsey wrote a post on the benefits of hooping not so long back and as this DVD is only £2 and a hulahoop is around the same price from Asda and Tesco... maybe this needs to be purchased. (P.S I love the hula game on Wii fit I wonder if it is true to life because on the game on fire!)
Addenda: Supermarket's don't seem to be selling hula hoops in the winter lol. Apparently it is also good to buy a slightly weighted hula hoops supposed to be easier and better for beginners.

I have wanted this game since it first game out, the video clip make it look fun and amazon reviewers seem to be rating it highly. Not too sure about the leg band thing (it uses a leg band around your thighs to monitor activity) but I guess you'd just get used to it.

Hmm I have heard great things about people doing the "Biggest loser DVD" stateside and the reviews I have read about this Wii game have been pretty good. I think I might try this one after payday... it's not that expensive and doesn't have the best reviews in the world but there are enough of them that rave about it to get me interested. Hmmmm Maybe I will rent it first, I don't like the fact that people say it needs a big time commitment and that you have to put in what you eat (that could irritate me and is a function I wouldn't really want to use)
![Charlie Brooks - Before And After Workout [DVD] [2005]](http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51RVFY8XDGL._SL500_AA240_.jpg)
Now this DVD is from 2005 and Charlie Brooks has still kept the weight off - so that is a great sign. Reviews say it's realistic for unfit people like, it's varied and it works so yup might try it.. OMG I started this post the other day and between now and then the dvd has tripled in price on Amazon what is that about! Charlie I am not too sure me and you can be friends anymore hehe.
![Davina: Power of 3 [DVD] [2004]](http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41VCFGQV74L._SL500_AA240_.jpg)
And lastly Davina... I'm still not too sure which one to get yet but I think this one focuses on the three target areas - bums, legs and tums. Davina is still looking fierce and I like DVD's that are split into sections so that I can do a bit before work and a bit after. (In theory that sounds much more manageable)
Lindsey do let me know if this is the one that you recommend ?
I know there are lots of free ways to get fit too, walking, jogging, running. I'm not too good with the last two but I do enjoy walking - I am not too good with it in the winter tho and DVD's are convenient as I can do them anytime I want rain/sleet and snow.
They say that things don't become a habit until you do them 21 times so I will do a post on here when I hit the 21 day mark. Go me Go!
