Today my bestest friend in the whole wide world turns 26!
Happy Birthday!

In honour of that I am writing 26 Reason's why I love my BFF!

Here goes.....

1. She is as generous as they come... sharing gifts and freebies.
   
2. She loves to make people feel good - showering them with compliments and positives.
   
3. She loves cake and food in general- and see's nothing wrong with trips (day or night) simply to get cake!
   
4. She is hillarious - she always has me laughing.
   
5. She has the biggest heart- you couldn't meet a more warm and welcoming girl.
6. She gives the best hugs.
7. She is honest and will tell me how it is.. "yes your bum does look big but what's wrong with that"... "yes he is an idiot but I see where you are going with him"
8. She has the voice of an angel - I love her singing and we make a great girl group in our cars (We are often backing singers to Alicia keyes and we used to be members of the sugarbabes *ahem*)
   
9. She is a fantastic Mummy and produces beautiful babies - I super proud of her!
   
10. When she doesn't know something she doesn't pretend she does... and I think that is more ballsy than faking it.
    
11. I love our little phrases and our own language.. yes we do sound like idiots when we are together but I don't care, we understand what we are saying.
    
12. I love that whatever I put in front of her to eat, she will eat it and lick her fingers after... She is always grateful and she is my official cake tester too :-)
    
13. She always knows what I need to hear (even though i might not want to hear it)
    
14. Where ever we are in the world it doesn't matter - I will always feel close to her wherever she is.
    
15. She just doesn't give a damn... What you see it was you get... and what you often get is a crazy girl, with food all over her clothes, carrying a messy bag but wearing a big smile.
    
16. We hardly ever argue... I have known her for over 15 years and I can only remember us arguing maybe once or twice.
    
17. She is lots of fun... she is the type of friend you can go on holiday with or just chill with in front of the tv.
18. She is a great listener... she is not one to jump in and make it all about her or force her opinions.. if you want to talk she is there to listen.
19. She is brave - mate you have been through a lot and I think it has only made you strong and the person you are today.
    
20. If I call her and say I need her she simply says when and where?
    
21. We have different tastes- yup a hell of a lot of the things we do and like are the same but we are very different people and I really respect that.
22. She tries... she is determined, feisty and will try and get the most from life or the situation.
    
23. She is modest.. yup she loves taking photo's of herself when she's glammed up but she is actually very modest and doesn't know how amazing she is.
24. She is a gluey type of friend... a person who can get the randomest group of people together and make them have a good night.
    
25. She has many roles... and she is never patronising in any of them. She can be my teacher, my comforter, my mother, my distractor, my sister my calming influence but whatever role she plays she always has my best interests at heart.
    
26. She is non judgmental... never offensive and so considerate of others - thank you for never, ever judging me! (well actually you judge my angry laugh a lot but I will let that one slide)

So I may have mentioned that I joined a photo swap on the blog "For the easily distracted" a few weeks ago.

Everyone was assigned a partner, you would then take a few snaps and send them to your partner to develop and display.

My partner was the lovely Erin who writes the gorgeous blog 'This Lovely City' . I've had the photo's developed and I am just finishing scanning the last of her roll.

If you haven't checked out Erin's blog do stop by it's very stylish and chic with tonnes of gorgeous photo's and items to lust over. She also seems to have had the most beautiful wedding day too.

To be honest the first thing I did when I saw that she was my partner was think ohh dear, poor her... I took random pics on a wet day in Manchester and my photography is a little what's the word... poo? hehe

But despite the fact that my photo's may bot be so great It has been lovely get a snap shot into Erin's life and I shall post the pics I receive on this blog and hopefully flickr tomorrow.

The Smoothie's Are Getting A Warming Up!

I was running for a train the other day, needed a little water for my journey so I go to the Fridge in Sainsburys and what do I see... THE HATS! (not my particular hats but I live in hope that my hats are out there somewhere)

Don't they look cute! But look some of them are still naked.. that means next time more people need to knit them! (hint hint)

Valahogy mindig az volt az érzésem, hogy a divat kevéssé van tekintettel a hidegre, és szegény nőket olyan hacukákba öltöztetnék, amikből mindenük kivan. Ennek az érzésembnek most vége, ugyanis nagyon tetszenek ezek a képek, és persze a ruhák. Látszik, hogy hideg van, és ahhoz próbálnak alkalmazkodni.

December Book Club Book: Just Like Tomorrow by Faiza Guene

Just waiting to start my new book club book. Hmmm not much time to read it before the festive meeting but it is supposed to be a quick read and very enjoyable. Plus it is written by a teenager in a diary format so sounds just on my level - Ahhh I hope you are a parisian, gritty, honest urban chic version of "Are you there god it's me Margaret?"... that is just what I need on these rainy days.
